Most golfers talk themselves out of a home golf simulator before they ever pick up a tape measure.
The garage looks too narrow.
The ceiling looks too low.
The spare room feels too small.
It’s easier to assume the room won’t work than to find out that it will.
Here’s the truth:
It usually does.
The space you need is probably less than you think. And the numbers are specific enough to settle the question in about five minutes.
All you need is:
  • A tape measure
  • Your driver
  • Five minutes

Two Ways to Build Your KIT Golf Studio

There are two routes to a home setup with the Full Swing KIT.
1. DIY it yourself
  • Run a Full Swing KIT and build your own setup around it
  • The most flexible option
  • Requires the most measuring, so you’ll want to know exactly where every foot goes
2. Choose a KIT Studio bundle
  • Everything arrives together, already sized to work
  • No sourcing and no guesswork
  • Two sizes, with exact dimensions below

Option 1: How Much Space Do You Need for a DIY Setup?

Ceiling Height – Take a Swing

Forget the chart.
Take the clubs you actually want to practise with into the room, and make full swings from where you’d be hitting.
Ask yourself:
  • Can you swing freely?
  • Does anything make you hesitate at the top?
  • Are you holding back at all?
If you can swing naturally, you’re good.
That’s the whole test. A 9ft (2.74m) ceiling works fine for plenty of golfers, but only your swing knows whether you’re one of them.

Width – Around 10ft minimum

Minimum width: 10ft (3.05m)
That’s enough for one golfer to hit comfortably.
What if you have both right- and left-handed players?
  • The Full Swing KIT is easy to adjust
  • You don’t need extra width to accommodate both
  • That’s space many rooms simply don’t have

Depth – 18ft Minimum (And Here’s Why)

Minimum depth: 18ft (5.49m)
Depth is the dimension people underestimate most, because it isn’t one single distance.
It’s two zones, and you need both.
Zone 1: Ball to screen – 8 to 10ft (2.44–3.05m)
  • This is your ball flight
  • KIT needs this distance to measure the ball properly
  • It’s what gives you accurate ball flight data
Zone 2: Ball to KIT – 8 to 10ft (2.44–3.05m)
  • KIT is a radar unit
  • It sits behind the hitting position
  • It needs a clear line to the ball to read every shot
This isn’t spare padding behind you. It’s how KIT works.
Add the two zones together, leave a few inches so the screen isn’t flat against the wall, and you have your number:
18ft (5.49m) of length, minimum.

Option 2: What’s Included in a KIT Studio Bundle?

If you want a premium result without sourcing every part yourself, a KIT Studio bundle takes care of it.
Each bundle includes:
  • Enclosure and impact screen
  • Premium projector
  • Turf landing pad and hitting mats
  • Side barrier nets
  • Every cable you need
  • The Full Swing KIT launch monitor
  • An optional touchscreen gaming laptop for gameplay
